Design leader Jony Ive officially left Apple

The hardware and software design team at Apple is currently managed by COO Jeff Williams.

Lead designer Jony Ive has disappeared from Apple’s Leadership list, signaling his official departure following the announcement in June. Jony Ive has joined Apple since 1992 and has been leading the design team since. 1996.

In June, announcements only revealed that Jony Ive will leave the company later this year. There are some rumors that Jony Ive contradicts CEO Tim Cook’s strategy, but Apple has denied that.

After leaving Apple, Jony Ive founded his own design company, LoveFrom. Apple will also be one of the new design company’s customers.

CEO Tim Cook said: “Apple will continue to benefit from Jony’s talent, through direct collaboration in exclusive projects, and through the talented design team he has led. ”.
