Realme is about to become the first company to launch a phone with a 64-megapixel camera. This unpublished device has a 4-lens camera cluster, including a wide-angle lens and a main lens with 64-megapixel resolution, using Samsung's new sensor ISOCELL Bright GW1 size 1 /1.7-inch.

Similar to how the 48-megapixel phone camera sensors currently used to capture 12-megapixel photos with 4 pixels combined into one, Samsung's GW1 sensor is designed to output. images with 16-megapixel resolution by default. Realme is not the only company about to launch this feature. Yesterday, Xiaomi confirmed the plan to launch a Redmi-branded device, also equipped with Samsung sensors, while also "tipping" another phone with a higher resolution camera, reach 108-megapixel level (equivalent to 12,032 x 9,024 resolution). Xiaomi has not yet announced the specific launch date of this phone, and Samsung itself has not officially announced which image sensor has 108-megapixels.
