Crazy iPhone concept with huge removable camera clusters

A concept painter seems to have noticed that the iPhone camera clusters are getting bigger and bigger, and decided to design an entirely new device based on that idea.

Louis Berger’s Concept Mosaic is a three-lens, removable camera cluster that operates independently.

In this concept, the camera cluster itself is already a phone. Berger said: ” Mosaic offers a new idea of ​​a smartphone camera as a modular device that can operate independently .”

Mosaic consists of a Photo Tile – a square module angled with the camera, processor, and a small screen. This photo tile can be controlled via a pressure-sensitive border, a smartwatch connected to a phone, or even a pair of AirPods. Can be viewed as an iPhone mini also.

Users will be able to attach a display module called Small Display Tile to the back of Photo Tile. As a result, Photo Tile will have a slightly larger screen, and an additional battery to extend the operating time.

And when used with another module called the Large Display Tile, Mosaic will take the shape of a communications smartphone with a much larger screen than a Small Display Tile. This module is equipped with a faster processor and larger battery.

Berger’s idea is that users only need to purchase Photo Tile, then add any features they need. They can choose large or small screens. Or if they want, they can wear Mosaic around their necks too.

One thing worth mentioning is that Berger did not talk about whether this concept runs Android or iOS. He simply considered every possible possibility. And indeed, this is a really different concept. Some other concept designs only refine existing devices, while others apply new ideas. Berger’s idea goes against the traditional thinking about smartphone design. But wasn’t the original iPhone the same?
