Request
- An aws account is required, if you don’t currently have one, register first: https://portal.aws.amazon.com/billing/signup#/start/email
- Must have credit card, visa or master-card or something.
Create a Credentail
- After successful registration, go here to register for credentail: https://us-east-1.console.aws.amazon.com/iam/home?region=ap-southeast-1#/security_credentials
- Open the file to check:
Credential Configuration
- On VSCode
- Add Extensions , search AWS-Toolkit
- Open VSCode: press the key combination, on
- mac shift+command+p
- win shift+control+p
- Find: AWS: Create Credentials Profile
- Will ask to enter accessKey and secretKey
- After entering, the results will appear, or you run:
1 2 | cat ~/.aws/credentials |
- Using CMD Mac and Linux
- create folder:
1 2 | mkdir ~/.aws |
- create credentials file:
1 2 | touch ~/.aws/credentials |
- Using vim edit file credentials:
1 2 3 4 | [default] aws_access_key_id=*** aws_secret_access_key=** |
change *** with accesskey and secretkey .
Create multiple Credential profiles
- Do the same with how to create a credential, it will automatically add it to the credentail file
- When adding the second credential, it asks you to set the profile name. The first time is default, the second time will ask for the name.
