Close-up of the production line of an electric motorcycle that makes 18,000 orders “close” in 48 hours

A VinFast Evo200 was born in less than 1 hour of assembly.

On the morning of September 29, VinFast held a ceremony to hand over 100 VinFast Evo200 units to the first customers at the factory in Cat Hai, Hai Phong. Also at the event, customers, partners and press agencies toured the car factory and production line.

The process of assembling the car begins at the warehouse, where hundreds of parts of the car are gathered.

Discrete components will be assembled into modules at the sub-line on the side of the main production line. The completed modules will also be gathered.

Workers will prepare all components and parts to assemble on the vehicles as shown in the photos. Each of these cars has enough parts to complete a car.

VinFast said it was able to manufacture all the most important components from electric motors, LFP battery systems, chassis to management software.

VinFast’s announcement also mentioned that its factory can reach a capacity of 500,000 electric motorbikes a year. Currently, VinFast is selling 9 electric motorcycle models with different versions, evenly distributed in the popular, mid and high-end segments.

VinFast Evo200 is the company’s latest electric motorcycle model using a 3.5kWh LFP battery, enough for the car to travel 203km/charge (with VinFast Evo200 Lite, it’s 205km/charge) in standard conditions – mobile moving 30km/h with a person weighing 65kg.

Each stage usually has 2 workers in charge, working on a continuously moving conveyor belt.

VinFast said that going from individual components to a complete electric motorcycle will take more than 40 minutes, going through 88 steps. Each component assembly and the whole vehicle must go through quality inspection processes before leaving the factory.

Pictured is one of the final stages at the line. After this stage, the vehicle will be removed from the stand and moved to the inspection area.

In this area, the technician will check the wheel shaft, friction and braking force with the help of a variety of machines.

In fact, the VinFast factory has a separate test track area for vehicle development. The tests here can include rough roads, deep flooded roads, high slopes (5 degrees, 7 degrees and 10 degrees). In the photo are reporters experiencing the car at the test track area.

After receiving a deposit for VinFast Evo200 from September 21, VinFast has recorded more than 18,000 orders after 48 hours. The easily accessible price and good travel distance are said to be the reasons why the car is so popular.
