Close-up of Sennheiser CX 400BT’s mid-range True Wireless headphones: Housing is square, cut out ANC and water resistant, priced at VND5.4 million

CX 400BT is Sennheiser ‘s newest fully wireless (True Wireless) headset launched earlier this month. This is considered a product that brings a lot of sound experience of this company but will cut a few details to keep the price more affordable.

Product box with name, product image and bottom corner are 3 main features that manufacturers want to advertise: 7mm driver, touch control and up to 20 hours battery.

The product comes with a USB-C cable for charging and 3 sets of rubber buttons with different sizes. Unfortunately this product does not have a cloth bag to protect the earphone box from bumps and scratches.

The product box is extremely compact, the outer shell is made of rough plastic, not fabric like the Momentum True Wireless 2.

Behind the charging box, from the left side includes an LED indicator that shows the amount of battery, USB-C charging port, battery test button.

It can be said that the CX 400BT is made very simply, the two headphones have a square housing design with a matte black exterior, the touch touch is covered with a shiny plastic layer and attached to the familiar Sennheiser logo.

The inside of the lid is also printed with the words SENNHEISER.

Sennheiser still tries to add a few more curves for the CX 400BT to help the lumpy part and more suitable for women. Even so, the ear is still quite lightweight and wears extremely comfortably, without feeling heavy or strained for a long time. I myself tried it out to listen to the Apple event last night and lay in bed but still quite comfortable, as well as firmly attached to the ear.

The sizeable ear housing also has one advantage: touch more accurately. Inside this pair of headphones is a 7mm driver, similar to the Momentum TWS 2.

Because of its low cost, the CX 400BT gets a few cuts, including the active noise cancellation (ANC). Because the ears use rubber buttons, they also prevent outside noise from entering the ears, although not completely maximized, but still quite okay.

Moreover, the headset is also not equipped with a sensor that automatically turns on / off music every time it is removed or worn, so users are forced to manually operate in these stages.

The headset can play music for 7 hours consecutively, and when combined with the charging box, it increases to 20 hours. Regarding connectivity, the headset uses the latest Bluetooth 5.1 standard with CODEC SBC, AAC and apt-X.

Users can manage the headset through its Sennheiser Smart Control (iOS / Android) app.

Here users can customize the touch gestures as desired, both in the left or right earbud.

Or adjust the sound quality (Equalizer) according to the chart is quite intuitive.

Sennheiser CX 400BT is equipped with a smart conversation feature, specifically, when a call comes in, it will automatically reduce ambient noise (filter noise) to help the wearer’s voice be clear and clear.

In addition, the headset is also not waterproof and dustproof, so users should be careful when wearing sports training, avoid splashing water. Currently products are being sold at a genuine price of 5,390,000 VND. We will have a separate review on the sound quality of this product in the near future.
