Chinese smartphone “fake” identical to iPhone 13: Running HarmonyOS, priced at less than 2 million VND

Remember the Gionee brand? Gionee is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer founded 20 years ago. This brand was formerly popular with low-cost smartphones with buffalo batteries sold in developing markets such as India and Vietnam. In 2018, Gionee filed for bankruptcy due to not having a reasonable business strategy, besides, Gionee’s CEO also revealed that he was a gambling enthusiast, finding it difficult to run the company.

Despite declaring bankruptcy, Gionee still occasionally launches a few new smartphones. And most recently, a machine called Gionee G13 Pro has been on the shelves in the Chinese market with an extremely cheap price, only 529 yuan, equivalent to 1.8 million dong. The remarkable point of this G13 Pro comes from the same appearance design as the iPhone 13, especially the camera cluster with 2 lenses placed diagonally across each other. And yet, this is also the first smartphone that is not from Huawei but is equipped with “operating system” HarmonyOS.

If you just look at it, it’s easy for users to mistake Gionee G13 Pro as a “genuine” iPhone 13 because from the appearance with square frame to the design of the camera cluster, all of which are very similar to the iPhone. Of course, the entire case is only finished from plastic. The product has 4 color options for users to choose from: black, yellow, blue and purple.

In terms of parameters, Gionee G13 Pro is equipped with a 6.26-inch screen, the resolution is only at HD + but has a display area ratio to the front of up to 90.3%. This screen uses the same “rabbit ears” design as the iPhone, with a 5MP selfie camera. The dual camera on the back has a resolution of 13MP.

Gionee G13 Pro runs on Unisoc Tiger T310 chip for basic performance, 4GB RAM, 32GB/128GB storage memory and has a 3500mAh battery. The device is pre-installed with HarmonyOS developed by Huawei, not using Google services, but using Huawei services.
