Cheap smartphone Nokia 1.4 officially launched: Dual camera, 4,000 mAh battery, price 120 USD

Today, HMD Global has launched its next low-cost smartphone, the Nokia 1.4. The smartphone has a basic configuration, with a price of only 99 EUR (about 120 USD) in the European market.

Nokia 1.4 is equipped with 6.5 inch screen, HD + resolution. Water drop design with 5MP selfie camera. The lower chin is quite thick with the familiar Nokia logo. It has 3 colors: blue, purple, smoke and dark gray.

This is the first time on the Nokia 1 series to have dual rear cameras. Includes an 8MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera cluster has a circular design, with a dual LED flash in the center. The back also has a fingerprint sensor.

HMD Global is committed to providing users with a stock Android experience, and so is Nokia 1.4. The smartphone comes pre-installed with Android 10 (Go). Including Google’s Camera Go app, which offers features like Portrait Mode and Night Sight night shots commonly found on high-end devices.

The processor inside is Snapdragon 215, a chip that’s not too powerful but can still handle basic tasks well. The starting configuration has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. However, you can also spend more money on the 2GB / 32GB or 3GB / 64GB configurations.

The surprising number is the battery capacity up to 4,000 mAh, with a low-cost smartphone with a low profile and HD + resolution screen, this is a very large battery capacity. However, this smartphone uses an outdated micro-USB port.

In addition, HMD Global also ensures this low-cost smartphone will receive an Android 11 update and two years of security updates.
