49-inch Odyssey G9
Odyssey G9 uses VA panels with QLED display technology, supports Dual QHD (5120 x 1440 pixels) resolution and 32: 9 super wide aspect ratio. Of course, it’s a curved screen, and according to Samsung’s announcement, the Odyssey G9 is the world’s first 32: 9 screen model to feature a 1000R curvature, covering most of the field of view of the human eye, making it easy for you. immersed in the scene in the game.
More interestingly, Odyssey G9 also has a frequency of up to 240Hz, 1ms response time with Nvidia’s G-Sync and Adaptive-Sync technology built-in. In addition, it also has high brightness up to 1000 nits with HDR1000 standard.
Aesthetically, Odyssey G9 possesses a fairly aggressive design with gamers’ inspiration. In addition, this screen also has a circular LED system at the back, can customize up to 52 different colors depending on the user’s preferences.
32-inch Odyssey G7 and 27-inch Odyssey G7
As mentioned above, the Odyssey G7 series has two screen sizes of 32 inches and 27 inches. Both use VA panels with QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), QLED technology and 1000R curvature.
Like the G9, the two Odyssey G7 monitors have a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, support Nvidia G-Sync and Adaptive-Sync. However, they only have a brightness of 600 nits with HDR600 standard, lower than the 1000 nits brightness of the Odyssey G9 screen.
Price and release time
According to Samsung’s press release, both the Odyssey G9 and Odyssey G7 monitors will be available in the second quarter of 2020. Currently, their exact pricing has not been disclosed. However, based on the price of 1299.99 USD (about 30.2 million VND) of the curved screen model CRG9, surely the amount that users need to spend to own an Odyssey G9 or G7 is not cheap at all.
