Vertical videos are becoming more and more popular, as they appear on social networking platforms like Facebook, Instagram or recently TikTok. A testament to the growing number of vertical video viewers is that Samsung has just launched a TV specifically designed to watch these videos.
At CES 2020, Samsung launched the 43-inch 4K Sero TV, which can be rotated horizontally and vertically comfortably like a smartphone. With the ability to rotate vertically, Sero TV will allow users to watch videos on TikTok, Instagram stories full screen, without being bothered by two black bands on either side.
To be able to rotate vertically, Sero TV is designed by Samsung with a non-removable smart stand, built-in 4.1 60watt speaker system. The base is quite high, so that the TV does not touch the ground as it rotates vertically.
Users can set the TV in the default landscape mode. But when you want to watch vertical format videos, Sero TV will automatically rotate the screen part gently. The content displayed will automatically turn into a vertical screen, similar to the mechanism on smartphones that we often use. Users can also transfer content from the smartphone screen to this TV easily.
