[CES 2020] ASUS launches a new series of gaming laptops, from the premium ROG Zephyrus to the low-cost TUF

Today (January 7), ASUS has launched several new gaming laptop models during the CES 2020 event held in Las Vegas (USA). In addition to the ROG (Republic of Gamers) brand, the Taiwanese manufacturer also introduced a few more products from the new gaming brand, TUF, at a more affordable price.

ASUS TUF A15 and A17

As the name implies, the ASUS TUF A15 and A17 duo will have screen sizes of 15.6 inches and 17.3 inches, respectively. Inside, both of these devices are powered by AMD Ryzen 4000 series processors, paired with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. It is known that A15 will use NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, while A17 will be equipped with GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU.

As expected, TUF A15 and A17 will officially hit shelves in the first quarter of 2020, although their selling price has not been disclosed. In addition, ASUS also said it will sell two other gaming laptops, TUF F15 and F17 later this year, using the upcoming 10th-generation Intel Core processor.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G15

For ROG Zephyrus G14 and Zephyrus G15, both models feature a slim design with a 17.9mm-thick chassis. However, they have quite a strong hardware configuration. Zephyrus G14 is even equipped with a special CPU, manufactured by AMD and capable of generating less heat than the microprocessors used on conventional gaming laptops.

The new ROG-branded laptop duo also has an extremely compact ErgoLift hinge, so that users can open the laptop cover with a wider angle, even to the bottom of the screen can touch the back of the machine. In addition, we will also have a small LED screen in the upper corner of the lid, used to display the time and some other information.

Zephyrus G15 is equipped with AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS processor, 240Hz refresh rate screen to provide the smoothest gaming experience for users. Both models have the most advanced configuration options of 32GB RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, expected to hit the market in the first half of 2020, although the specific price has not been disclosed.
