Black Shark 5 revealed with a “disappointing” configuration

Tram Ho

The Black Shark 5 generation is expected to launch soon in the early part of this year with many notable upgrades. However, the latest information shows that the standard version does not have many changes in hardware, almost Xiaomi only reuses the hardware of the previous generation Black Shark 4S Pro.

Specifically, the report says that the standard Black Shark 5 will be equipped with Snapdragon 888+ chip, a flagship chip of last year. Although this chip for performance is still very strong at the moment, but with the appearance of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, it is clear that Snapdragon 888+ suddenly becomes … more obsolete than “one beat”. For those who are “player chips” or those who always want the most powerful configuration, Black Shark 5 is not the first choice.

Black Shark 4S/4S Pro

The other specifications of the leaked Black Shark 5 are also not impressive. The device is equipped with a 144Hz screen with Samsung E4 AMOLED panel, which is used on many mid-range devices launched last year, such as Redmi K40 series. The screen has Full HD + resolution and is a flat screen. In addition, the device has a 4600mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging. These parameters are similar to those on the Black Shark 4S Pro launched a few months ago.

It seems Xiaomi is looking to save major upgrades for the Pro version. The leaked information also reveals that the new Pro version is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, has a QHD + 144Hz screen and has a 5000mAh battery, 120W super fast charging.

Black Shark 5 series is expected to be introduced in a few months. In February, Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi K50 series with more notable upgrades.
