Black Shark 3S launched: Snapdragon 865+, 120Hz screen, 65W fast charging, priced from 13.3 million

Today (July 31), Xiaomi has launched its latest gaming smartphone, called Black Shark 3S. This is the third phone in 2020 developed by Xiaomi in cooperation with Tencent Games, after Black Shark 3 and Black Shark 3 Pro.

The device has two color options: Black (Skyfall Black) and Blue (Crystal Blue), comes with a starting price of 3999 yuan (about 13.3 million) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB ROM. Meanwhile, 256GB ROM and 512GB ROM versions retail for 4299 yuan (about 14.3 million dong) and 4799 yuan (about 16 million dong) respectively.

Specifications and features

Black Shark 3S is equipped with Qualcomm’s most advanced Snapdragon 865+ processor, combined with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal memory. It owns 6.67 inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 270Hz touch sampling rate, 17ms touch response speed, delta E <1, JNCD <0.55, supports HDR10, DC Dimming and has filtering features green light.

In addition, this phone also has integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen, as well as Game Engine and Tencent SolarCore technology to give users a better gaming experience.

Moving to the back, Black Shark 3S features a 3-camera system located in a triangle module. The rear camera cluster includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor. In addition, it also has a 20MP camera on the front for selfies and video calling.

Black Shark 3S comes with a 4720mAh battery, supports 65W fast charging via USB-C and 18W magnetic charging. It comes with Android 10 operating system with JoyUI 12 interface on sale, has a 3.5mm headphone jack, liquid cooling system, MEMC 3.0, 3D audio and many gaming related features, including including voice game play.

In addition to Black Shark 3S, Xiaomi also launched three new accessories for its gaming smartphones, including the Black Shark Gaming Button, Black Shark Gamepad and Black Shark Gaming Gloves.
