Notably, Mr. Snyder was the former President of Global Business Development of Tesla. At Tesla, he achieved a lot of success. Notable among them can be mentioned the achievement of building a sales team with annual revenue of USD 500 million when holding the position of General Manager of Tesla Motors Southwest region, and continuing to train the sales team. brings in 1 billion USD in annual revenue when in the position of General Manager cum Sales Director of the Western region.

VinFast said that the company has set up branches in many places from the US, Canada, France, Germany and the Netherlands to prepare for the global launch of new electric cars.

These models are expected to be introduced in October, two of which are the VF e35 and VF e36 smart electric vehicles, which will go on sale globally in March 2022.

The company aimed to sell 56,000 electric vehicles in the US market by 2022, but this goal has been reduced to 15,000 units due to a severe chip shortage.

Pham Nhat Vuong said in June: “It’s time for us, Vingroup and Vietnam, to realize our dream of going global and putting our name on the global map.”

Commenting on VinFast’s ambitions, Bill Russo, head of Shanghai-based consulting firm Automobility Ltd and a former Chrysler executive, was optimistic: “Vinfast is on pace to market. very fast and they seem to be made to go global.”

“Will Americans buy Vietnamese cars? Japanese cars were cheap cars in the 1970s and Korean cars were cheap cars in the 1980s. So there are a lot of precedents showing the Asian companies can win the market,” added Russo.

“Europe may be a tougher challenge, especially in big markets like Germany or France, but they could have an opportunity if they form the right partnerships with downstream service companies.”
