Billionaire Elon Musk announces he will buy Manchester United football club

Billionaire Elon Musk has just posted on Twitter that he will buy English football club Manchester United.

The richest billionaire in the world often sends out shocking tweets, and it is unknown if he will really buy this club.

“I will buy Manchester United,” he wrote in a tweet.

Manchester United is one of the most famous football clubs in the world. They have won England 20 times and three times won the European Cup, the most prestigious club competition in the world.

The club is currently under the management of the American Glazer family.

MU reached a market capitalization of 2.08 billion USD on the stock market on August 15.

In recent years, MU fans have vehemently opposed the Glazer family. The family bought the club for £790 million in 2005, when the club was struggling.

The anti-Glazer movement has grown stronger since last year, after MU participated in an unsuccessful attempt to create a European Super League.

Some fans urged Musk to buy MU instead of buying Twitter. Musk is trying to get out of a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter and is being sued by the social network.
