Joining CNBC’s “Squawk Box”, Bill Gates commented that Musk’s comment about Covid-19 was “inhumane”. He said that Musk is not much involved in vaccine development. Musk has the right to talk about things like electric cars and rockets, but Gates hopes Tesla’s boss doesn’t mess up irrelevant areas.

This is not the first time Musk has spoken out about how the US handles the disease. In April, he called home quarantine measures to curb the spread of the virus to imprison people against the constitution. In March, he also tweeted false information that “children are essentially immune” to Covid-19. Meanwhile, health experts believe that children can also be infected with Covid-19.Tesla CEO often makes false statements about Covid-19, spread false news and expressed doubts about the seriousness of the epidemic in the US even when the number of infections increased. On June 30, he expressed skepticism about the accuracy of Covid-19 positive number statistics in the United States. By the time Musk tweeted, the United States had 48,000 more Covid-19 infections in a day. As of July 28, more than 4.3 million Americans were infected with the virus and 148,400 were killed.

Musk also praised Texas for allowing shops, restaurants and other businesses to open in late April, though the state later became a Covid-19 hotspot.

In addition to commenting on Musk, Bill Gates also commented on social networking. Microsoft co-founder believes that fake news spread much faster than mainstream news on social networking sites, making it difficult for companies like Facebook and Twitter to balance.
