Big game publisher, cooperates with police to punish toxic players
- Tram Ho
Although it is now 2023, the games have received countless updates, evolving both in terms of features and graphics. However, there is still one thing that is always unchanged over the years. That is the toxic problem on the part of the players themselves – which rarely changes, and also the worry of many genuine gamers. There have been many measures on the part of publishers to control this problem, but everything has not really shown its effectiveness.
However, just recently, Ubisoft has just made a rather unexpected and highly deterrent move with its toxic player community. Not only cooperating with Riot to research and develop AI to limit bad behavior, words, and poison in the game, Ubisoft has also recently made a much stronger move. That is to cooperate with local law enforcement agencies to join hands to improve the culture and clean up the gaming community.
Specifically, Ubisoft’s customer relationship center in Newcastle has just partnered with Northumbria Police through a variety of ways. In addition to sharing training, Ubisoft will also monitor toxic cases of gamers with severe levels divided to report directly to Northumbria police station. Specifically, if there are any highly insulting, or life-threatening words among gamers during Ubisoft’s gameplay, all data will be transferred directly to the police station.
This is not known whether it is effective or not, but at least it will be a warning and warning to Ubisoft gamers. Either play civilized and polite games, or most likely have to receive invitations and punishments from the police station.
