“Belly pitting” the AirPower wireless charging dock, showing why Apple never released this accessory

In the video, we can see inside the AirPower are a total of 14 wireless charging coils, tightly attached and layered on the flat surface of the charging dock. The purpose is to charge Apple devices, wherever they are on the surface of the AirPower.

Another special design of the AirPower is the metal frame divided into several cells, which looks like a keyboard. The goal is to divide the dense electrons into the various coils inside the charging cradle.

The AirPower charging dock also uses a Lightning port.

“AirPower is not up to our premium standards,” said an official statement from Apple. Other reports have suggested that the problem with AirPower is overheating and too high production costs.
