ASUS ROG Phone III shows impressive performance score with Snapdragon 865 chip and 12GB RAM

Gaming smartphones have been a trend in the last few years, due to the increasing demand for mobile gaming. These smartphones have a powerful configuration, many features that support gaming such as a good cooling system, large capacity battery and high screen refresh rate. But now, high-end flagship smartphones also have those features.

Gaming smartphones are somewhat weaker when compared to flagship smartphones, but the race has not stopped. Asus is gearing up to launch its next gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone III.

Asus ROG Phone III has recently been revealed on the Geek Bench page, with impressive specs and performance scores. The smartphone, codenamed I003DD, is characteristic of the ROG Phone series. Geek Bench performance test results reveal that ROG Phone III is equipped with 12GB of RAM and Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865 processor.

The single-core performance score is 910 and the multi-core performance score is 3229. These are impressive numbers, comparable to the performance score of the Galaxy S20 Ultra of 805 and 3076. Asus ROG Phone III is also equipped with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage memory.

According to previous leaked sources, ROG Phone III will have a 144Hz screen, currently 120Hz on a smartphone screen is still the most advanced. In addition, ROG Phone III will still feature a modular design to attach external accessories to those of ROG Phone II.

As revealed by Asus, ROG Phone III is likely to be launched in July, along with ZenFone 7.
