ASUS “leapfrogged”, releasing the ROG Phone 5 on March 10 instead of the ROG Phone 4

Tram Ho

After launching ROG Phone 3 in October last year, ASUS is gearing up to roll out its next generation of gaming smartphones. However, the company will ignore the “4” figure like OnePlus did before, naming it the ROG Phone 5.

As expected, ROG Phone 5 will be launched on March 10 at 19:00 (local time), ie 18:00 on March 10, Vietnam time. Release date information is confirmed by ASUS on its official website, available here .

In terms of specifications, leaked rumors suggest that ROG Phone 5 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s most advanced Snapdragon 888 processor today, along with the same 6000mAh battery as its predecessor, 6.78-inch OLED screen and cluster of 3 cameras on the back. The device will also likely have up to 16GB of RAM and a fingerprint sensor built into the bottom of the display.

One of the most interesting points on ROG Phone 5 is probably the secondary screen on the back of the machine. This screen is used to display information such as in-game warnings and some other notifications.

Except for the above details, the design of the ROG Phone 5 is not too different from its predecessor. Machine still has dual speaker system on the front, comes with “traditional” screen instead of hole or rabbit ears. It will likely come with Android 11 pre-installed when sold.
