Apple’s virtual reality glasses may be equipped with Micro OLED screen and M1 “processor chip

The launch date of Apple’s virtual reality glasses is expected to be around the end of this year. Now, leaked information about this device is appearing more and more. According to the latest source, Apple’s glasses will be equipped with a Micro OLED screen and a powerful M1 processor chip.

A source of ET News in Korea said that Apple is working with TSMC to produce Micro OLED display chips. Micro OLED display technology doesn’t need a color filter like conventional OLED screens do, so it’s smaller, thinner, and more efficient.

Besides, the above source also confirmed that Apple will equip the M1 processor chip for its glasses. This is a powerful processor chip equipped for Apple’s new iPad and MacBook, promising to bring very impressive performance to this virtual reality headset.

ET News also believes that Apple will use the iPhone’s iOS operating system, to install and use on its glasses. Although earlier, a piece of source code revealed that Apple is developing a new operating system called Reality OS.

Apple is expected to launch its virtual reality glasses later this year. This promises to be a breakthrough product of Apple, after years of only improving and upgrading its existing products.
