Apple launches new version of AirPods Pro with MagSafe charging support, priced at $249 unchanged

At the new “Unleashed” event held at dawn this morning in Vietnam time, in addition to the new MacBook Pro line as well as the newly launched AirPods 3, Apple also introduced a new version of AirPods Pro. This version will add support for MagSafe charging, keeping the price unchanged.

The new version of AirPods Pro has the same design, no different from the version sold before, without any upgrades in design, features or internal hardware. Apple simply added support for MagSafe charging and sold it for the same price.

MagSafe is a new magnetic charging technology that was first introduced by Apple last year with the iPhone 12. With MagSafe standard charging, the iPhone can charge a maximum capacity of 15W. As for AirPods Pro and AirPods 3, the charging capacity is unknown.

For those who have ordered AirPods Pro before Apple’s Unleashed event, they will only receive the old version of the AirPods Pro model. Since the Unleashed event, Apple will ship AirPods Pro with a MagSafe-enabled charging case to users.

Regarding the price, the new version of AirPods Pro will have the same price of 249 USD, equivalent to 5.6 million VND.
