Apple continues to discontinue two 21.5-inch iMac models

Tram Ho

Recently, Apple has officially stopped producing iMac Pro computers, and two 21.5-inch iMac models seem to share the same fate. According to MacRumors, the 512GB and 1TB SSD configurations of the 21.5-inch iMac are currently not available for purchase on Apple’s online website. Only 256GB SSD and 1TB Fusion drives are available for now.

These two 21.5-inch iMac models were out of stock on Apple’s website last month. However, at the time, we still did not know if the stock was out of stock due to the supply or if Apple stopped production.

So far, both the 512GB and 1TB SSD models of the 21.5-inch iMac are no longer appearing on the iMac’s configuration page. Therefore, it can be sure that Apple has stopped making both configurations.

A new iMac with a completely changed design has also been rumored for a long time. Apple is expected to replace both the 27-inch and 21.5-inch iMac lines with an all-new iMac.

According to Bloomberg, the new iMac will have a completely flat back design and remove the “chin” part below the screen. In addition, the new iMac will also be equipped with an Apple Silicon chip, based on the ARM mobile architecture, to replace the Intel chip.
