Recent advances in artificial intelligence have caught the attention of the business community, and Apple CEO Tim Cook is no exception.

During an earnings call with investors and reporters on February 2, Tim Cook said AI is the “primary focus” at Apple. At the same time, the CEO added: “It’s amazing how it can enrich the lives of customers.”

Cook pointed to several Apple services that have integrated elements of artificial intelligence, including the new iPhone and Apple Watch crash detection feature, as well as the Apple Watch’s electrocardiogram feature that allows users to Record their heart rate and movements.

The Apple CEO said he plans to incorporate AI into the company more. Earlier this month, Apple released a consumer-facing AI-integrated product. It’s an AI storybook engine.

“We see tremendous potential in this area that will affect virtually everything we do… It will affect every product and every service we have,” Cook said.

In fact, many predictions about artificial intelligence that were once considered science fiction have been realized recently. Typically, some AI tools allow editing and creating pictures (Lensa AI or DALL-E 2) and most recently AI ChatGPT chatbot.

Image creation programs and ChatGPT have received much criticism and praise from the community, for pushing the boundaries inherent in AI technology.

DALL-E 2 and ChatGPT are products of OpenAI, a technology company in which Microsoft owns a significant stake. Google also has its own version of AI, LaMDA, although the tool is not widely available.

Apple is ramping up its own AI efforts. The company is currently recruiting more than 100 job vacancies in the field of machine learning and AI.
