One of the effective uses of smartphones is the ability to navigate, so many people have attached it to motorbikes or bicycles to easily see the way. However, driving while looking at the phone is quite dangerous, because from the driver’s distance, the screen will be quite small, not to mention that you will be easily distracted by the messages on the screen.

So a company called Wicked Lasers created a system called LaserCube. It’s basically a laser projector that can be used to project road guides onto the ground in front of the driver, as you can see in the video below. LaserCube works once connected to a phone and is customizable via the app.

While it’s not comparable in detail to a phone map, it’s good enough to give you clear directions when to turn, when to approach a turn, when to go straight, etc. This is actually a pretty cool idea, but it comes with a hefty price tag.

The cheapest version costs nearly 1,000 USD , the most advanced version costs 1,800 USD, offers higher brightness and sharper laser. With this price plus the fact that it can be easily stolen from your car will make many people think before buying.
