According to the latest report, some OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users reported that they encountered a critical error while installing the Android 12 beta version. Some smartphones have even been turned into bricks.

GSMArena said that shortly after OnePlus released the Android 12 beta update, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro users encountered a black screen error on startup and got stuck in a bootloop when trying to restart the device.

Immediately after these responses, OnePlus had to remove the Android 12 beta update to protect other users, at least until the operating system was more stable. There are also some reports from China, Xiaomi Mi 11 users also encounter the same error.

According to some developers, the bootloop error on OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro after installing Android 12 beta can be fixed with Qualcomm’s EDL (Emergency Download) Mode tool. On the homepage of OnePlus also posted instructions for users to restore factory settings after encountering this error.
