A source close to Bloomberg said Taiwan’s Pegatron Group is planning to build a manufacturing plant in Vietnam. As such, this is Apple’s latest assembly partner to establish a presence in Vietnam.

Reportedly, Pegatron is seeking ground to build a factory in northern Vietnam. They also rented a separate factory in Hai Phong. Pegatron will also produce stylus pens for Samsung’s mobile phones here.

GoerTek currently produces Airpods in Vietnam while 2 other Apple assembly partners, Compal Electronics and Luxshare, also have a presence in Vietnam.
