Closer to the launch date, we see more new leaked images of the Xiaomi 12 series. At this year’s launch event, Xiaomi will only introduce two versions of Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro, most likely the Ultra version will be released later. The official design of the Xiaomi 12 series has also been revealed through renders and actual images revealed in recent times.

Specifically, the actual images of the Xiaomi 12 standard versions have been widely shared on the social network Weibo, showing details of the main camera cluster and color options.

Earlier, leaker Evan Blass also posted official render images of Xiaomi 12, showing a similar appearance. With the standard version, the device will be equipped with a 50MP main camera instead of 108MP like previous generations, in addition, this sensor will be the Sony IMX766 sensor used on OPPO Find X3 Pro or OnePlus Nord 2. Meanwhile, The Pro version will have a 50MP camera using the Sony IMX707 sensor, a variant of the IMX700 equipped on the Huawei P40 Pro, along with a potential telephoto camera.

Xiaomi also revealed that the Xiaomi 12 standard version will have a relatively small screen, not much larger than the iPhone 13. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also said that the company has “learned” from Apple to launch a small screen smartphone version because the user segment that prefers small screens is still relatively large, and this is also how Xiaomi compete with Apple.

Xiaomi 12 series will be officially launched in China on the evening of December 28.
