This year, Apple will launch four iPhone 12. In which there will be two 6.1-inch iPhones, a 5.4-inch iPhone and a 6.7-inch iPhone. A report last month by DigiTimes states that Apple will sell the iPhone 12 in two installments.
According to a recent leak from Apple’s supply chain, the two 6.1-inch iPhone 12 will be sold first, while the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 will be sold later. .
Suppliers of SLP boards for the next generation iPhones commenced production in July and August. Boards for the 6.1-inch iPhones begin production in July. As for the boards that power the 5.4-inch and 6.7-inch iPhones, production begins in August.
This is not the first time Apple has sold new iPhones in batches. In 2017, the iPhone X was also launched in September, but went on sale later in November. Last year, the iPhone XR was launched in September, but it was not officially on sale until October.
This year, Apple will launch the 5.4-inch iPhone 12, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Max, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
All four new iPhones will be equipped with OLED screens, with a new design inspired by the previous iPhone SE or the current iPhone Pro. The entry-level iPhone 12 will have two rear cameras, while the high-end versions will have three rear cameras with LiDAR sensors.
If the source is correct, the first sale will include a low-end iPhone 12 and a high-end iPhone 12. Maybe Apple thinks these will be the most popular iPhone 12 versions, most users find to buy.
There is still no time for the launch and sale of these iPhone 12. Apple only says that this year’s iPhones will go on sale a few weeks later than every year before.
