4 Samsung factories in Vietnam brought in more than 71 billion USD in revenue, Samsung Display surprised

South Korean conglomerate Samsung Electronics has just released its financial statements for 2022 with total revenue of $234 billion and profit of $43 billion. Compared to the previous year, Samsung revenue grew 8.3% and profit grew 39.5%.
Samsung’s report also details the business results of four factories in Vietnam, including Samsung Bac Ninh, Samsung Thai Nguyen, Samsung Display Vietnam and Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex.
Accordingly, the total revenue of these 4 factories in the fourth quarter of 2022 is 14.7 billion USD, bringing the whole year’s revenue to 71.3 billion USD, a slight decrease compared to 2021.

Notably, in the revenue structure of factories in the fourth quarter of 2022, Samsung Display Vietnam surprised when it surpassed both Samsung Bac Ninh and Samsung Thai Nguyen for the first time, becoming the factory with the highest revenue in Vietnam. Vietnam with the figure of 5.4 billion USD.
Previously, this position usually belonged to Samsung Thai Nguyen, but in the last quarter, Samsung Thai Nguyen only brought in $ 4.9 billion.

In terms of profit, the total profit of four Samsung factories in Vietnam in the fourth quarter of 2022 was $0.7 billion, the lowest in eight quarters.
Even so, the full-year profit of the four factories still reached $4.7 billion, the highest in five years thanks to good results in the previous three quarters.

In the profit structure, Samsung Display Vietnam also became the largest profit place for the first time, reaching $ 0.46 billion, 4 times higher than Samsung Bac Ninh and Samsung Thai Nguyen. This is the second highest profit in the history of Samsung Display Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex lost about 61 million USD in the last period.

It is known that in 2022, Samsung’s export value will reach 65 billion USD, accounting for 8.9% of Vietnam’s export turnover and making an important contribution to Vietnam’s economic recovery and development.
In December 2022, Samsung inaugurated the largest research and development center in Southeast Asia located in Hanoi. This is an important basis for Samsung to develop sustainably and long-term in Vietnam.
