The Galaxy S21 FE will launch earlier in August to fill the void of the Galaxy Note line

Last year, Samsung released a new variant of the Galaxy S20 series called Galaxy S20 FE or Fan Edition. After some leaks and rumors, the company finally officially launched its low-cost flagship in October 2020.

The device made a big splash and quickly became one of the company’s best-selling smartphones by 2020. Rumors about the Galaxy S21 FE started to emerge since February.

Recently, leaker Steve H, known as @OnLeaks has revealed that the design of the next Fan Edition model will follow the design language of the Galaxy S21 with a new camera.

However, the camera cluster will be shaped and have colors that match the color of the back side instead of acting as a highlight. The device will have dimensions of 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9mm and the overall thickness increases to 9.3mm if you include the thickness of the camera cluster. The phone will be slightly larger than the Galaxy S21. The chassis is made of metal, but the back will be made of plastic and have a matte effect that looks more luxurious.

According to recent rumors, the new machine will launch a bit earlier. Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series much earlier than its traditional launch schedule from February to March. The flagship trio hit the market on January 14. Therefore, if the Galaxy S21 FE launches early, it is also predictable. With the Galaxy Note 21 series likely to be canceled due to a lack of chips, the Galaxy S21 FE can contribute to replacing the gaps left behind by the Note line.

Samsung has stuck with the matte plastic design and it is becoming a very successful option. Furthermore, cost-cutting on the Galaxy S21 FE will allow its price to be cheaper than the Galaxy S21 series.

According to rumors, Galaxy S21 FE may be equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, FHD + resolution and high scanning frequency. The device will still have a hole-punch camera in the middle, the stylized camera cluster is almost identical to the Galaxy S21 series with 3 cameras arranged vertically. The main camera has 12MP resolution, 64MP telephoto camera, 12MP ultra wide camera.

S20 FE equipped with Snapdragon 865. But Samsung currently has more options in the segment such as Snapdragon 870 or Snapdragon 888. Of course not except there will be variants using Exynos chips.
